RETURN TO THE FOLD
SONAM KAPOOR
for the 10th Anniversary Edition
October 2017
This was my first project, in my first week at Vogue in Mumbai. Needless to say, I was over the moon on hearing that Ria had picked me to assist her on this tribute feature in the special issue. I was given a brief, and the freedom to put together a list of designers I thought we could approach for the looks. From that point on, coordinating with design teams, managing inventory and choosing the final looks for Sonam to pick out of, I took care of everything. The idea was to dedicate the space to four iconic women; trailblazers who were comfortable in their own skin. Marlene Deitrich, Frida Kahlo, Mata Hari, and Madhubala.
