We run faster every day, in pursuit of our glorious past; of the nature that once safeguarded us and inspired us. Now we revisit the souvenirs of our childhood, and try to bring back the balance in our lives and re-establish calm. This season, we re-trace the nostalgia of a nonchalant childhood. Distances between the memories of our childhood days- hours spent wriggling the water ring toss game- and this day, when every drop of water represents worrisome scarcity, increase by the hour. Kanika recalls from her childhood, the joy of playing with the water ring toss game in her family home. She thinks back on the day when water leaked from the toy and her parents immediately replaced it, without a moment's thought. Perhaps, now it's not as easy. Nature is calling on us to save it from bleeding dry; to save our future, which at the moment feels like a distant dream. Reflect on the ages when the sand we played in, the rivers we swam in, and the conifers we collected on weekend voyages were all unscathed. Every effort is laudable, every step to salvage lost belongings is a step forward, and every memory of our past is a mnemonic.
